The Recruitment Committee is ultimately responsible for the activities that invite individuals to join the Walk for Independence. They also oversee activities that help cultivate stronger relationships with participants, top team fundraisers in particular, that will help lead to higher fundraising amounts.
To ensure a large turn-out for the Walk and significant dollars raised by retaining last year's participants and recruiting new walkers to the event. Seek to increase the overall funds raised by cultivating relationships with key walkers and helping them become stronger fundraisers.
This committee oversees poster and brochure distribution, secures public speaking engagements (i.e. Lions or Elks Club, local churches, professional clubs, etc.), and sets up booths or info tables at area events (Huntington Mall, Disability Day, Fitness Expo, etc.)
