Anne Weeks, CEO of Mountain State Centers for Independent Living made opening remarks and read the Governor's greetings, following:
Greetings from the Governor
As Governor, it is my pleasure to recognize the 20th anniversary of the Mountain State Center for Independent Living. I deeply regret I am unable to be with you for today's celebration; however, please rest assured I am with you in spirit.
As an advocate for West Virginians with disabilities, the Center has assisted many throughout the years. I applaud those who have worked so diligently in the effort to provide networking and resources to persons with disabilities and their families. The Beckley community is lucky to have benefit of this wonderful organization, striving for the freedom and independence of the Mountain State's disabled.
Gayle and I extend our most sincere best wishes for the Center's continued success. On behalf of the citizens of West Virginia, I am grateful for the contributions made by MTSTCIL.
With warmest regards, Joe Manchin III, Governor
