Consumer Advocacy and Advisory Council

Consumer Advocacy and Advisory Council (CAAC) is a consumer advisory and advocacy council established in August of 1988 at Mountain State Centers for Independent Living (MTSTCIL) in Beckley, West Virginia.

Council members are individuals with disabilities who participate in programs at MTSTCIL and who are concerned with the advancement of MTSTCIL, its programs and in improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities in the community.

Vision

The vision of the Consumer Advocacy and Advisory Council is to provide MTSTCIL staff and Board of Directors with input and feedback on the programs offered to the disability community and to advocate for people with disabilities.

Mission

The mission of the CAAC is to be an active advisory and advocacy council in the Beckley and Raleigh County area. The CAAC will be a model council being responsive to the needs of MTSTCIL and our community.
