Ken Harer is an Employment Services Specialist in the Beckley office.
Part of Ken's responsibilities is to build relationships with area business in order to provide a wide variety of opportunities for people with disabilities who desire employment.
Ken works with businesses in Raleigh and Fayette counties. As one of our employers tells us, "just because a person has a disability doesn't mean they can't work or be a valued employee . . . I encourage other businesses to consider hiring people with disabilities."
In working with individuals to prepare them for job placement and independent living, MTSTCIL offers a number of different programs including: Community Based Assessment that helps individuals discover a career goal, Work Adjustment that enables individuals to acquire job readiness skills in an actual work setting, and Direct Placement that gives individuals employment without on-going support services.
Ken graduated from Appalachian Bible College where he met his wife. They were married in 1988 and now have three children. He enjoys long walks in nature, Phil Yancey books, outdoor cafes, classical music, championship games, art and the sound of a Harley.
You can reach Ken in the Beckley office at 304-255-0122 Monday through Friday or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
