Position Available: Employment Services Specialist

Mountain State Centers for Independent Living and the Foundation for Independent Living are recruiting for a full-time Employment Services Specialist (ESS) for the Beckley office. The Employment Services Specialist navigates consumers through the job search process and offers support to both consumers and employers in community-based competitive jobs. The ESS provides vocational assessment, basic life skills and work readiness training in a classroom setting.

The ESS also offers work site support to ensure job retention. Consumer services are flexible to ensure the support provided reflects consumer directed services with an emphasis on full community integration. The ESS is responsible for employment services Beckley's three employment counties. (Flexible hours as required.)

This position is responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services, providing exemplary services to the consumers they refer to the center's employment program. Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus. Having a personal disability will carry additional weight.
